Kim and Jim Csabi are friends of ours here in Florida and Kim works with Chris at Daytona State. I have mentioned Kim in previous posts as she has been so incredibly helpful to Chris and I as we are living in Florida with no family close and a lot of life changes happening for us.
After Kim cleaned our home the day after we moved in, she continued to offer help. The weekend before Harper's arrival we still had projects looming that we just figured we would not get done...dadadaaaa Kim & Jim to the rescue! Kim and Jim got babysitters all day on Saturday for their two adorable kids and told us they were coming to work on the house with us and they would do whatever we needed. She didn't ask or offer, but just said, we are coming, we are working, get a list of stuff for us to do. WHAT?!! No joke!
Kim and Jim were here all day and painted an extra bedroom and our bedroom and helped us work on some electrical tasks as well as cleaned. There was no way we would have been able to get these things done before Harper had we not had their help. We were just blown away.
Then on top of that they called us Sunday and said, "We know you still have crown moulding to get to, so we are coming over this afternoon and we are finishing that with you. We want to help you finish before you family comes in town today." Next thing you know we have the crown moulding up, we are saying our good byes to Kim, Jim and their kids and in walk our first visitors for Harper's arrival, Sarah and Lucy!!
It was just such a selfless way to show true friendship. There are not too many people in the world who would offer to do such boring, hard, annoying tasks and even fewer who would do it so willingly and happily. They certainly taught Chris and I how acts of altruism like this are incredibly meaningful. I was so happy that Sarah and Lucy got to meet Jim, Kim and the kids and it was just one of those days were I felt super blessed.
I unfortunately don't have any pics of all of us working because, well we were too busy working!
