Utah!

My entire side of the family spent one week in Park City, Utah and we had a blast! My parents and sisters and their families were all able to make the trip and so there was a total of 12 of us! We stayed in a beautiful townhouse that was very comfortable for all of us! We have been back in town for about a week so I am a little behind, but I couldn't go without mentioning the trip!

We did everything we wanted to while we were in Utah! The main event for the week was celebrating my mom's 60th birthday! We made a video for her with lots of pics of her and the grandkids and of her life over the past 5 years with 3 weddings and 4 grandchildren! We also did a skit/roast/presentation of the 60 things we know and love or maybe know and make fun of about her!!! She was a great sport and I think there are so many good things to say about my mom, that even her roast turned into why we love her! A few examples of why we love my mom...She calls Camren Diaz - Carmen Diaz every time!!! She will offer to cook you anything as long as you request pork tenderloin prepackaged, Stouffers lasagna or taco soup! All of our friends who know our mom adore her and sometimes come over to talk to her rather than us! She works her tail off and loves her job! She supported us in everything we did growing up and still does, She loves our dad!!!

Beside the bday celebration we mountain biked, hiked, went to an outdoor concert on the top of a mountain, the boys golfed 3 our of 6 mornings, went rafting, took gondola rides, went on nature walks, shopped, went to an art fair, went to the pool, played tennis, Chris and I toured the Mormon Temple in downtown Salt Lake City, played games and just has some major quality time!!!

It was certainly a busy townhouse with 4 children under the age of 3, but luckily everyone of us in the house was ready and willing to play!! It was great to get so much time with Gannon and Ella and Lucy and Lola! Chris is the best "Unc" and the kids love playing with him
Headed up the mountain for a hike in the gondola with Lucy and Lola!

The Nuses and Reilly's heading out to mountain bike! Sarah and I turned our bikes in early to shop and the boys probably had way more fun without us!

My awesome dad!

Mormon Tabernacle

As we stopped to check out the Olympic Park where the 2002 Olympic Ski Jump took place! What a view!

On the mountain!

Gannon and I playing in a fresh spring! The water was so chilly!

Horseback rising day for the kids! Gotta love Lucy in those pigtails!

The night of the outdoor concert. Chris and I had an awesome dinner/date night!

The family pic! The Marchals on the left, Jennie holding Gannon and Matt holding Ella; my parents in the middle; the Nuses on the right Sarah holding Lucy and Adam holding Lola; the bizzarly tall Reillys in the back :)

The family on a "hike".

Fully bearded Chris with sweet Lola! Stage 1 of facial hair show!

Lucy and Unc in a major conversation...Stage 2 of the facial hair show!

GAME NIGHT!!! Can you say Chubby Bunny? We stuffed our mouths with as many large marshmellows as possible and had to say Chubby Bunny after each marshmellow was stuffed in our mouth! It was gross and hilarious! Jennie won with 8 large marshmellows. Seriously, try this - 8 is ridiculous! Note: Chris' disgusting mustache! Stage 3 of the facial hair show!

The Reilly's night to cook! Sun-dried tomato burgers, grilled asparagus and corn on the cob!

  1. Love your post - loved everything about mom! You are so cool! BTW 12 in the family - not 10. I know sometimes you like to leave Adam and I out of the equation but we are just as big apart of this family as you so back down.
