No Hitter & a sick family

Yesterday, Chris had his first regular season game and the Falcons won 1-0.  The really amazing part is the Chris' pitching staff did not give up a single hit!!!  For those of you not totally emerged in the baseball world may not know that this is a really really big deal!!  This is a little info for you... Throwing a no-hitter is a rare accomplishment for a pitcher or pitching staff: only 263 have been thrown in Major League Baseball history since 1875, an average of about two per year.
I am so excited and proud of Chris even though he of course down plays this event!  Well, it's my job to celebrate it so I have some balloons and baseball player cutouts all over the house to celebrate when he gets home.  


On a totally different note, I would like to request some prayers for my family.  My mom is still recovering from her knee surgery, but is doing well.  It is just going to be a long recovery for her so extra prayer strength for her would be awesome.  Also, my sister, Sarah, has spent the past 36 hours at the hospital with Lola her 7 week old baby girl.  Sarah found out on Tuesday that both of her girls have RSV, Lola has bronchitis and Lucy has a double ear infection.  On top of that Adam, her husband was out of town from Saturday - Wednesday night.  Lola was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday because at her young age there are extra precautions and her breathing was not always perfect.  This was day 2 in the hospital for Sarah and she has not left Lola's side.  Lucy has been at home with close family friends and then Adam came home last night.  The prognosis for both girls is good, but this whole process was/is obviously scary for everyone, especially the Nuses.  Both girls have to do breathing treatments, take meds and hopefully in a couple of weeks this will all be behind them!  Sarah and Adam send me pics on their phones throughout the day which I love and it gives me a huge smile to see Lola smiling big in her little hospital crib and Lucy dressing up like a goof ball with an Orioles hat for her favorite Uncle Hunky!  Over the past couple of days several of Sarah's friends kids have also found out they have RSV so their whole group of friends will be settling down and sterilizing everything for at least a month or so.
Anyway, prayers of strength for my entire family would be so appreciated!
